Bruce W. Worthen is an historian of the American West. He is an independent scholar who holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Utah. His current project is book-length treatment of the fallout from the nineteenth-century Edmunds/Tucker Act that was aimed at ending the practice of plural marriage among the Latter-day Saints in the Great Basin. The working title is:
